1. Text-In Voting
When Text-In Voting is enabled, event organizers can access the Text-In Voting tab in their event dashboard.
The page displays the following information:
Assigned Phone Number: The number participants text to cast their votes.
Voting Rules: The number of Competitors each participant can vote for and any applicable voting limits.
How to Vote: Instructions on what participants need to text.
Example Vote: A sample message showing participants how to submit their vote.
Voting Start Date and Time: When text votes begin counting.
Voting End Date and Time: When the voting period closes.
To set the voting period: Select the start and end dates and times, then click Update to save your settings.
2. Location-Specific Text-In Voting
When Location-Specific Text-In Voting is enabled, organizers can use a map in their Event Dashboard to define the geographic area where votes will be valid.
The page allows organizers to configure the voting area using these steps:
Enter the Event Address: Search for your event address using the search bar in the upper-right corner of the map.
Set the Event Location: Drag the blue pin to the exact location where your event will take place.
Set the Voting Radius: Adjust the blue circle around the pin to define the area within which votes will be considered valid.
Update the Voting Area (Optional): You can change the location or radius at any time. If voting has already started, you must confirm the change before proceeding.
The map also displays the selected latitude, longitude, and voting radius.
This option helps organizers ensure that only votes meeting the event's geographic restrictions are considered valid.
