You can edit Competitor information throughout your event. However, we generally don't recommend making big changes (ID, Name, Description) after your competition has started because if judges have been assigned to that competitor, that may be confusing for them. 

Clients sometimes adjust Competitor assignments throughout a competition- maybe a judge didn't show up, and they want to modify the judge assignments, or maybe they just want to have more eyes on one competitor. More on how to change competitor assignments here.
