For competitions where different sets of Competitors have different Criteria, we recommend using Tags. 

An example of this might be an invention competition where "Advanced" Competitors are evaluated on "Patent Progress" but "Beginner" Competitors are not. First, you'll want to add two tags- in this example, these two tags would be Advanced (ADV) and Beginning (BEG).

When you add a new Criterion, there will be a space for you to enter a Tag. If you do not enter a specific Tag, the Criterion will be set to apply to all Competitors.  

If you need to edit a Criterion to make it sub group-specific, click the Name of the Criterion in blue. This will open an edit window where you can add a Tag. Click Save to save your changes. 

In the above example, you would add Patent Progress with the Tag "ADV".
